ABRAXIS® Spinosyn, Coated Tube ELISA, 40-test

Immunoassay for the quantitative and sensitive screening of Spinosyn in water samples. The Spinosyn Tube Kit is a competitive enzyme-labeled immunoassay. The sample is mixed with specific Spinosyn antibodies in a test tube that has been previously coated with a second antibody (Goat anti-Rabbit, GAR). After the initial 15-minute incubation of antibody with sample, enzyme-labeled Spinosyn is added to the tube. The Spinosyn from the sample competes with the enzyme-labeled Spinosyn for a limited number of antibody binding sites. Following this second 15-minute incubation, the contents of the tubes are removed and the tubes are washed to remove any unbound Spinosyn or enzyme-labeled Spinosyn. A substrate is added to the tubes and any bound enzyme-Spinosyn conjugate causes conversion to a blue color. Following a 15-minute incubation, the reaction is stopped and the amount of color in each tube is read. The color of unknown samples is compared to the color of calibrators and the Spinosyn concentration is derived.
