Order Cancellations & Returns
- Orders may be cancelled at any time prior to shipment without penalty with the exception of orders for custom or made-to-order products which must be cancelled, in writing, within 3 days of order receipt.
- Due to the perishable nature of many of our products, Gold Standard Diagnostics is not able to accept returns on products that have already shipped unless 1) the return is requested as the result of a verified product defect or 2) the order cancellation request is made, in writing, within 3 days of order receipt.
- For order cancellations received within 3 days of order receipt that have already shipped, the customer will incur a 25% restocking fee plus associated shipping charges to and from the destination. Restocking fees and shipping charges do not apply at any time if the product is being returned due to a verified manufacturing defect.
- Exceptions may be made to this policy at the sole discretion of Gold Standard Diagnostics, on a case-by-case basis, upon customer request.
Expiration Dates
Inventory Shelf Life
In general, we strive to maintain sufficient stock of all non-MTO (made to order), non-MOQ (minimum order quantity) test kits with ~50% of the maximum possible shelf life. For Gold Standard Diagnostics manufactured test kits, this equates to the following:
- ELISA plate kits
- 8 months for most kits
- 6 months for Cylindrospermopsin ELISA
- 3 months for Caffeine ELISA, Metolachlor ELISA, Imidacloprid/Clothianidin ELISA and QuikLyse
- Test strips kits
- 6 months for all test strip kits
Requests for Longer Shelf Life When Sufficient Inventory is Available
- Written request must be submitted to Gold Standard Diagnostics with at least 4 weeks advance notice of the desired ship date
- Quantity:
- For distributor partners request must be for quantities of >5 kits. Requests for quantities of less than 5 kits will be considered and approved based on the business justification (i.e. contractual requirement, additional related business).
- For other (end-user) customers: order must be for a quantity of at least 10 kits.
NOTE: We will also consider requests with shorter lead times and for smaller quantities, but the timing for fulfillment will depend on the production schedule at the time of order placement and may not occur until the next planned production of the product.
Customer Notification of Expiration Date
- Order entry will notify customers to whom we are shipping internationally (outside the US and Canada) and get customer approval prior to order acceptance/shipment if expiration date of requested product is <8 months
- Order entry will notify all customers to whom we are shipping within the US and Canada and get customer approval prior to order acceptance/shipment if expiration date of requested product is <6 months
